Websphere Server - part-time contract

Position Type: Websphere Server - Contract
Location - GTA
Duration: - 2 weeks (possibility part-time)
Start Date: End of Marck, 2008

Our client in public sector is looking for a Websphere Server
specialist .

Responsibilities/Deliverables:


·Translates business needs into technical strategies and related
projects to ensure that IT strategy is aligned with business strategy.
Oversees the delivery of technology across the full product lifecycle
and evaluates whether or not it is in line with established business
objectives.
·Review the existing server setup
·Recommend best options to configure and tune the WPS and messaging
engine server for optimum load configurations against an Oracle 9i
database engine in a clustered environment.
·Knowledge Transfer to the Cluster team.
·Recommend best practice for the day-to-day operation and maintenance
of the WPS server and database in the production environment.
·Provide best practices for application module updates and WPS patches
and maintenance in a production environment.
·Other tasks assigned by the Business Directory Project manager as
needed.
·Provide progress/status information to management.
·Comply with Client security procedures and practices.
·Comply with Client Conflict of Interest, and Confidentiality
Guidelines.
·Provide skills / knowledge transfer to appropriate Client staff and
·Provide documentation to do the WPS fine-tuning.
